EPUB to PDF Converter

Turn any EPUB ebook into a PDF in seconds — no account needed, nothing to install. Your file stays on your device the whole time.

Drop your EPUB file here

or click to browse — .epub, up to 100 MB

How It Works

1

Pick your EPUB file

Drop your .epub file onto the page or click to choose it from your device. No sign-up, no waiting.

2

EPUB is unpacked in your browser

JSZip extracts the ebook archive and reads the OPF package manifest to find all chapters in the correct reading order.

3

Content is rendered on-device

Each chapter's XHTML is combined into a single document and rendered to a high-resolution canvas — nothing leaves your device.

4

Download your PDF

jsPDF slices the canvas into A4 pages and your PDF downloads automatically. Open it straight away in any PDF viewer.

How to Use the EPUB to PDF Converter

  1. Drag and drop an .epub file onto the upload area, or click to choose one from your device.
  2. Click Convert to PDF — conversion begins immediately in your browser.
  3. Your PDF file downloads automatically to your downloads folder.

Features

  • Your files stay private: Your EPUB file is processed entirely in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded or stored on our servers.
  • Free — always: No accounts, no subscriptions, no hidden fees.
  • Full chapter order: The OPF manifest spine is read to ensure chapters appear in the correct reading order.
  • Formatting preserved: Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, lists, tables, and inline images are all carried across.
  • A4 page layout: The PDF is formatted to standard A4 paper size with generous readable margins.
  • EPUB 2 and EPUB 3: Both generations of the EPUB standard are supported.
  • Instant results: No upload time — extraction and rendering happens at full browser speed.
  • Up to 100 MB: Handles most standard ebook files.

What to Expect from the Conversion

This tool extracts the XHTML content from each chapter of your EPUB and renders it as a clean, print-ready PDF. Structural elements — headings, body text, lists, tables, and inline images — are faithfully reproduced.

Complex EPUB features such as custom embedded fonts, advanced CSS multi-column layouts, interactive JavaScript widgets, or SVG illustrations may not reproduce exactly in the PDF output. For text-heavy ebooks, novels, reports, and technical manuals, the result will be clean and readable.

DRM-protected EPUB files (such as those purchased from certain ebook stores with Adobe Digital Editions DRM) cannot be converted — only DRM-free EPUB files are compatible. Most EPUBs distributed directly by authors, publishers, or Project Gutenberg are DRM-free.

What Is an EPUB File?

EPUB (Electronic Publication) is the most widely used open standard for ebooks. An EPUB file is actually a ZIP archive containing XHTML documents for each chapter, an OPF (Open Packaging Format) manifest that describes the book structure, CSS stylesheets, and any embedded images or fonts.

EPUB 2 is the older format (circa 2007) and EPUB 3 (2011+) added support for multimedia, interactivity, and improved accessibility. Both formats use the same ZIP container and OPF package structure, which this converter reads directly in your browser.

Why Convert EPUB to PDF?

PDFs are universally supported and maintain a fixed, predictable layout — ideal for printing, sharing in professional contexts, or archiving. Unlike reflowable EPUB files, a PDF renders identically on every device and PDF viewer. Converting your EPUB to PDF is useful when you need to print a book, attach it to an email, or view it in a PDF reader that doesn't support EPUB.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my EPUB file uploaded to your servers?

No. Your file never leaves your device. The conversion happens entirely in your browser using the JSZip, html2canvas, and jsPDF libraries — nothing is sent to our servers or stored anywhere.

Is this EPUB to PDF converter free?

Yes, completely free. No account required, no watermarks, and no hidden charges.

Which EPUB versions are supported?

This tool supports EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 files. Both versions use the same ZIP-based container format and OPF package structure that this converter reads.

Will images and formatting be preserved?

Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, lists, tables, and inline images are preserved. Complex CSS layouts or custom fonts embedded in the EPUB may not reproduce exactly in the PDF output.

Can I convert a DRM-protected EPUB?

No. DRM-protected EPUB files cannot be read or converted by any browser-based tool. This converter only works with DRM-free EPUB files.

Which browsers are supported?

This tool works in all modern browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.

What is the maximum file size?

Up to 100 MB. Most standard EPUB ebooks are well under this limit.
