Discount Calculator Formula
The formula for calculating a percentage discount is straightforward:
- Saving = Original Price × (Discount % ÷ 100)
- Final Price = Original Price − Saving
- Discount % = (Saving ÷ Original Price) × 100
For example, 30% off $120: saving = $120 × 0.30 = $36; final price = $120 − $36 = $84.
